Getting married in Virginia is easy.
Here is some information regarding getting your marriage license in Virginia. If you prefer a non-religious ceremony, you can get a Marriage Commissioner. Every county in Virginia has several individuals available.
Yes, you can totally do this! It’s easy! The biggest requirement is that your friend or family member be a resident of Virginia. Having a friend perform the ceremony will allow you to make your wedding vows much more personal.
Your friend needs to go to the courthouse where they live and request the paperwork. Easy.
You will need to pay a license fee and give the courthouse a deposit.

One very important thing to think about when choosing a Virginia Wedding venue is determining how much money you will need to spend to make it look the way you want it to look.
Fortunately here in Williamsburg, most of our properties are gorgeous in their own right, and don’t require a lot of decor to create a festive atmosphere.
Most of the time, when you tour a property, it will “speak to you” and you will see yourself getting married there.
