Wedding Officiates in Williamsburg VA
Wedding Officiates in Williamsburg VA is the first place to look, whether you are having an intimate ceremony on the beach or a big party with all your friends and family, you need someone to make it official.
Depending on your religious views, you might want a Pastor or Minister…or you might just prefer a Marriage Commissioner. Either way, you want to make sure that the person you choose understands the “feel” and the “vibe” you want for your special day.
Some offer pre-marital counseling (which is a good idea) and all should offer you ways to make your wedding vows and what’s included special to you and your partner.
Again, In order to make it “legal” you need Wedding Officiates in Williamsburg VA. Here’s a short list of my favorites!

PRELUDE:
That’s the music playing as guests are arriving. It can be instrumental, Classical or Contemporary. It can have words or no words. Your choice.
SEATING OF THE MOTHERS AND GRANDMOTHERS
Usually a single song is played for the seating of the mothers and the grandmothers. This song is the official start of the wedding ceremony. It’s totally OK to use a more traditional song here, and contemporary songs for other moments.
GROOM’S ENTRANCE
This can be anything. It could be a continuance of the song chosen for the mothers and grandmothers, or it can be a moment for the groom to choose a song that he likes that might be a little different from all the rest of the music in the ceremony. (think instrumental version of AC/DC) LOL
BRIDAL PARTY ENTRANCE
Sometimes the bridal party enters as couples, sometimes the men enter first in a row down the side of the aisle with the women entering in single file, down the center aisle unescorted. Neither way is right or wrong. It’s your choice.
BRIDAL PROCESSIONAL
This is YOUR MOMENT! Choose your song for your BIG ENTRANCE!!!
CANDLE LIGHTING OR SAND CEREMONY OR HAND FASTING, ETC.
It is customary to have music play lightly in the background when you are doing a candle lighting, sand ceremony or hand fasting ceremony.
RECESSIONAL
You can be traditional and use the “Wedding March”, and choose the instrumentation you want…everything from piano to strings or even full orchestra. Or you can break from tradition and use something fun like U2’s “Beautiful Day” or Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I’m Yours”. Again, it’s all up to you! Make an original choice! Make a traditional choice. It’s your party!!!
