Spotlight on Colonial Heritage Weddings

Colonial Heritage Club is one of the premiere wedding venues in Williamsburg, VA. and the main ballroom can host up to 300 guests! As a result, Colonial Heritage Club has been a local favorite of wedding planners in Williamsburg and local couples since the property opened years ago.

I have had the pleasure of being a wedding DJ there many, many, many times!

Meet Corey Pollock, Your Wedding Concierge

Corey Pollock is your “go-to” guy at Colonial Heritage Club and is officially the Director of Sales, however, he is really the “Director of Happiness” (just take a look at his business card)

Firstly, he is easily approachable, has a ridiculously detailed mind and an unsurpassed passion for helping couples celebrate. This is immediately evident the minute you meet him.

Secondly, Corey is a unique talent in the hospitality industry, having a truly diverse work experience leading to his current position.

For example, Line Cook….Check! Bartender…Check! Restaurant Manager…Check! Chief Cook and Bottle Washer…Check!

In addition, he can also break out into show tunes, which makes me love him even more!!!

From first hand experience, I can vouch for the fact that Corey is truly committed to doing everything he can to make your day extraordinary from beginning to end! FOR REAL!!! He is available (yep, you have his personal cell phone), he knows his Sh*t and he will get it done!!!!

Most importantly, his loving, compassionate and larger than life personality will immediately make you know you’re in the right place for your celebration!

Your Dream Team at Colonial Heritage Club

Assisting Corey is Cathy Moore, a Williamsburg native who spent many years at Ford’s Colony organizing resident events. Her gentle and kind soul is the perfect counterpart to Corey’s energetic style. She is the mother hen of the Colonial Heritage family who is the quiet glue that redirects the frenetic energy of wedding preparation into a peaceful calm.

Colonial Heritage Club has an amazing team that includes F & B Director, Jose Colon, Asst. F & B Director, Tina Swoyer and Colonial Heritage ambassador and Bar manager , Tony Jones, and to compare, I’ve seen “behind the curtain” at Colonial Heritage and I’ve seen “behind the curtain” in other places, and the team at Colonial Heritage ROCKS!!!

Jose is always there in whatever capacity is needed.

Tina runs a tight ship and makes sure every chair and table is in place and effortlessly expedites the presentation of your carefully curated menu.

And Tony, what can I say about Tony. He is a force of nature and one hell of a bartender!!!! Tony gets everyone “lubricated” and then I play all the fun dance music which, in short, gets the party started!

Getting Ready

There are also separate “getting ready” rooms because many couples stilll prefer to be traditional and not see each other before the ceremony .

The ladies generally get ready upstairs in the Hearts and Diamonds Room because there is plenty of natural light and tons of space and there is a hidden bathroom adjacent to the private room.

The guys get ready in the “man cave”, located on the lower level. This special “guy” area offers a pool table and a ping pong table. There is also easy access to step directly outside on the lower deck to have a celebratory cigar.
